Cardi B will release her newest single, “Hot Shit,” with Tay Keith as producer. The song will be dropping this Friday, July 1st, and we can’t wait.
The rapper announced the release with a commercial during this year’s BET Awards and officially confirmed it on social media.
Cardi B’s last album, Invasion of Privacy, was released in 2018. “Hot Shit” is her first-ever song as a solo artist after 2021’s “Bet It.”
Cardi also notified Summer Walker and SZA after the release of “Bet It” for an extended version of “No Love.” She then joined her co-rappers from Bronx Kay Flock and Dougie B for their collaboration “Shake It.”
Cardi B is working on collaborating with other artists. She has tapped Lizzo (“Rumors”), Normani (“Wild Side”), Migos (“Type Shit”), and Summer Walker (“Bitter”) in 2021 alone.
Having made her mark in the music industry, she has also performed at the 2021 Grammy Awards. There she sang “Up” and “WAP.”
Cardi B has been doing many things outside of music recently – she gave birth to her second child, talked with Joe Biden before the presidential election and will be returning for an upcoming comedy movie.
She also held on to her commitment to her Bronx roots by teaming up with the New York City mayor’s office to assist in covering burial expenses for the families of the 17 individuals killed in the Bronx apartment fire on January 9th.
