Recently, actor James Marsden revealed that he had a memorable experience as a Los Angeles juror. He talked about his one real-life stint in the jury box in an interview with PEOPLE, which was also the inspiration for his new Amazon Freevee series, Jury Duty.
Marsden described the strange experience of entering the courtroom and seeing a wall of headshots of actors who had previously participated in jury duty. “I was thinking in my mind, ‘Well, if anybody recognizes me, then maybe I would be a distraction,'” he recalled. “I don’t know. Marsden continued to concentrate on his job as a juror in spite of this unexpected interruption. “I’m trying to stay focused and not think about how awkward this is,” he said. “But it was funny. And then we went right back to the trial.”
