Simon Cowell – “He’s been able to walk quite a lot and quicker than the experts had expected him to do after this type of major surgery,” a friend of Simon Cowell’s tells PEOPLE.
Simon Cowell continues to recoup multi-week in the wake of crushing his spirit and experiencing surgery. It was an unexpected situation and his busy schedules were reprimanded.
The America’s Got Talent judge, 60, is “glad to be back home with his family in the fresh sea air” of Malibu, California, a companion of Cowell’s tells People on Saturday.
“He’s been doing some work already this week, but he also knows he needs to give his back time to heal properly from the surgery,” the friend says.
Cowell tumbled off an electric bicycle in the yard of his Malibu house, and his rep told Individuals exclusively on Aug. 8. After the episode, he experienced a “five-hour surgery” that same night and needed to have “various fusions and metal pole set into his back,” a source previously told Individuals.
The dad of one was “strolling around once more” just two days post-operation, an insider as of late said.
“He’s been able to walk quite a lot and quicker than the experts had expected him to do after this type of major surgery, which is a great sign for the healing coming along well,” the friend says.
Cowell, who didn’t partake in the first seven day stretch of AGT’s live shows and had Kelly Clarkson fill in for him, viewed the Aug. 11 and Aug. 12 episodes in his hospital room. “The AGT creation group had even sent him a mammoth X and a Brilliant Signal,” the companion says. “He was charmed Kelly had stepped in to help and appreciative to her.”
While Cowell heals at home, his 6-year-old Eric has assembled a list of movies to observe together. “Muppets Most Needed was head of the list which the two of them love,” the companion says.
Cowell spoke out about his physical issue on social media last Sunday. “Some a word of wisdom… On the off chance that you purchase an electric off-road bicycle, read the manual before you ride it just because I had a back injury.” he shared.
“Thank you to everyone for your kind messages. And a massive thank you to all the nurses and doctors. Some of the nicest people I have ever met. Stay safe, everyone.”
Cowell’s support for the rest of season 15 has not been resolved.
Mandel joined “AGT” judges together with Sofia Vergara and also Heidi Klum for a visit with E! He said the opposition show hosts “didn’t have the foggiest idea what’s in store” when they first heard the news. Mandel then proceeded to share a positive update on Cowell’s injuries.
“We were a little bit in disarray because we were worried. We were worried about our friend, and our boss and our leader, Simon Cowell, who we hear is doing spectacularly well, considering,” Mandel said.
Cowell was “doing fine” and stayed under observation in the wake of experiencing surgery at an unidentified hospital, the spokesperson said. Cowell’s accomplice, Lauren Silverman, went with him to the hospital and has had the option to see him quickly. Cowell’s for the time being, six-hour surgery included the situation of a metal bar.
Mandel told the media that Cowell is already “up on his feet” following surgery.
He also added “So, as I’ve been saying to a few other people, I wouldn’t count out seeing Simon again before this season’s end,”
