The Visionary Behind House of Locura and Its Revolutionary Products for On-the-Go Lifestyles

The world and the lifestyles within it have evolved, and comfort is the top priority for many people. Brands, especially lifestyle and clothing brands, have also become conscious of this fact and are adapting to this evolution. House of Locura is one of such brands, and its visionary founder, Zuzy Dabrowska, also known as Zuzy, isn’t resting on her oars in keeping the brand progressive. At only 21 years old, the Poland native has lived in different parts of the world such as China, Spain, Switzerland, Mexico, where she runs her brand, and currently New York City, where she studies.

She’s a talented artist, producer and creative director. She is also a junior at the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music at NYU Tisch and the creative director at AITV. Zuzy established House of Locura to cater to the needs of people who are constantly on the move, motivated and striving to create a story for themselves. Products from House of Locura are designed to make life simpler, more enhanced and more comfortable. She founded the company in Mexico City in 2020 as a facemask brand, but today the company has grown into a fully-fledged apparel brand with a colorful range of wears. Recently, the company introduced “Capsule 6.0,” a line of home beautifying and lighting products.

Describing the brand, Zuzy says, “All of our items are made to work with each other as House of Locura wants to make your life simpler, so you can focus on your story. There are many crazy stories out there, you can enhance yours with ours. I wanted this brand to be known for our items and create a community. Our message is one that many can relate to, and at times can be difficult to deal with.” House of Locura creates products that complement one another so that customers can buy about three to four items and be able to use them interchangeably.

Zuzy’s drive is fueled by her desire to create an unconditional community where everyone can feel a sense of belonging. Building a brand when the pandemic hit the world in March 2020 remains one of the most astounding things that Zuzy ever did, and the results thus far have been more than impressive. She took a chance on her idea, and today, it’s paying off and evolving beyond her initial dream of creating a facemask brand.

Zuzy Dabrowska is hands-on with her operational processes and is a sucker for perfection. She designed the first website and shot all the brand content in a tiny room with her sister. With very little to go by, she became a founder who is continuously inspiring a new generation of young people. Since the brand was launched, it has gone through a series of changes spearheaded by Zuzy to reflect her vision. Talking about one of such changes, “In the summer, we launched our first clothing collection. Everything was going well, but it wasn’t what I wanted. I started to see this whole other vision, so I decided to close the store, completely redesign it, re-shoot every item, and design a brand new capsule of our best-selling EASYWEAR sweat sets. We want to send a message of power, motivation, and inspiration. Our logo encapsulates just that” Zuzy explains.

Establishing House of Locura is an idea that was born out of Zuzy’s hectic and highly mobile lifestyle. She has lived in different countries all her life, learned different languages, and adapted to changes quickly. She built a brand that can reflect different levels of creativity in an insane way, just as the word “Locura” reflects as the Spanish word for “madness.”
