Hailing from Georgia, the sisters Eshonda and Jessica started their journey into senior care after a deeply personal experience that became their life’s calling. They spent time caring for their aging grandmother, and this wholesome and loving experience inspired them to start Innovative Senior Solutions in 2007. As lifelong Georgia residents and registered nurses whose personal and professional experience make them an asset to the community, the sisters became the first licensed home care provider in Sumter County, Georgia, and a licensed Medicaid provider in 2008.
Under the leadership of the Wright sisters, Innovative Senior Solutions has evolved from a home care agency to focus on innovative approaches to care such as adult day care, personal care homes, and industry consultants. In 2016, the Georgia Mentor Protégé Program selected the innovative consulting agency as participants, where they received additional business and leadership coaching from a Fortune 500 company. Within the same year, the sisters attended Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.
In 2019, the sisters grew and sold an in-home senior care business for more than $1 million. “As we have built and sold one company in the senior care space, we are establishing ourselves as the one-stop shop for all things healthcare and senior care business for those who desire to leverage the growth of the industry. Our focus is to teach others how to establish these kinds of humane facilities for the elderly, and how to do so profitably,” they shared.
With their combined knowledge and skills in the senior healthcare industry, Eshonda Blue and Jessica Wright want to help other entrepreneurs tap into the senior healthcare industry to meet the growing need of the aging population. “To meet the needs of our growing aging population and help other individuals (entrepreneurs) that might be entering into this industry but are stalling due to finance & lack of knowledge on the industry. We want to encourage them to enter the space and be profitable and provide quality service,” they shared.
For Eshonda Blue and Jessica Wright, the journey of providing quality health care for seniors is a long-term goal. There is a predicted 75% increase in the need of Providers over the next 10 years with the Baby Boomers coming, also known as the Silver Tsunami. They want to keep providing service in the coming years while helping other entrepreneurs tap into the healthcare industry. In a statement, they shared their BHAG (Big Hairy Audacious Goal) of being a nationally recognized company in 20 years, setting standards of innovative caregiving through comprehensive senior networks and touching every household with love and care.
