What’s the first thing that comes to mind when talking about SEO? Most people would answer Google search rank or first page on Google, which is accurate. SEO or search engine optimization is the entire process that involves optimizing the technical configuration of a website.

The efforts include creating content that is relevant to the targeted keywords that are being searched, as well as placing backlinks in the article. These are all necessary to help the website become findable, resulting in better ranking by search engines.

From the explanations, SEO seems simple and doable with consistency. That’s why, according to the 2024 State of SEO survey, 93% of respondents reported SEO positively impacted website performance and marketing goals in 2023.

However, SEO has the potential to translate as something technical and challenging because of the amount of information needed to be read and processed. SEO also requires practitioners to understand Google Analytics and some other tools. SEO is also a dynamic part of digital marketing, with trends constantly changing for SEO to adjust.

SEO and only SEO

Kyle A. Duncan stumbled upon SEO by chance. He recalled his curiosity about how one website can appear on the first page and be found easily while others can’t. From a simple question, Kyle quickly found himself going after all the knowledge he could get his hand on SEO. He became an SEMrush SEO specialist.

The complexities of search engine optimization, particularly the often underappreciated realm of backlinks, caught my attention,” he explained. For Kyle A. Duncan, backlinks are the unsung heroes of the digital world. Their paramount importance in driving website visibility is undeniable, yet many businesses and individuals still need to be aware of leveraging them effectively.

He found this gap, so he got to work. From his research and learning, two books were born about the power that backlinks yield. “The books weren’t just about the mechanics, but also about strategies. It offers readers a holistic understanding and actionable insights for SEO,” Kyle A. Duncan said.

Making SEO more accessible

The thing about SEO is that even if, in practice, it’s simple, it has these “backstage” complexities that non-technology-adept people would find intimidating. Because of this, SEO continues to become relevant, and people still need SEO services.

“The intricacies that shroud SEO help form the backbone of my approach, which put transparency, commitment to excellence, learning, and ethical practices forward,” Duncan added.

His approach helped him package SEO as a service through his SEO-focused agency. To make SEO more relevant and accessible, Kyle A. Duncan ensures open communication between him and the clients so nothing is concealed, including the client’s understanding of how SEO works.

His issues with other agencies also came into play when he experienced an empty promise of digital marketing performance. To tackle this, he kept his education on the subject, updating himself with the latest knowledge so his work would be result-oriented.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked with diverse businesses, from fledgling startups to established enterprises. Each collaboration has been a learning experience, reinforcing the belief that every website, regardless of its niche or size, holds the potential to shine,” Kyle A. Duncan concluded.

All SEO needs are the proper guidance, tools, and knowledge to help a business use it efficiently to get more exposure and, eventually, more business. SEO in 2024 is no longer an option to consider but is necessary to help a small, medium, or big business survive and thrive.
