Becoming great in today’s world requires some dedication and willingness to put in some work. This is something that Randie “Chryst Young” Graves has implemented for himself.
Born in Hartford, CT, and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Randie Graves always had the dream to do extraordinary things as an entertainer. He enjoyed everything that had to do with music, movies, and fashion, and it didn’t take too long before he got his shot. Creator and Director Marcus Reyes offered him the opportunity to host The Sneaker Game TV show, and his journey started from there. He has been confirmed to be the show host for the second season after the first season got 1.2 million streams on Amazon Prime.
Randie Graves is also a recording artist and actor with acting credits to his name. His journey into the entertainment industry began in 2011 when he started filming his web reality series, Day in the Lyfe of Chryst, with Director Chuck Holliday. The series, which aired on Suite929, has gained more than 100,000 views independently. Some of his other acting roles include playing Quan on The Ave, Undercover Cop, Sebastian Jones in the movie Blood on the Streets 3, and Chase Michaelson on Asunder The Series. In 2014, he also won the 1st Place Performance Award with the cast of The Brotherhood at the annual “Midtown International Theatre Festival” at John Chatterton Theatre.
Randie Graves always believed that there was a spot for him in the entertainment industry, and he chose to get in by starting his own web series. Through the power of recommendations and referrals, he was able to unlock more opportunities and grow his brand as an entertainer.
He recently released “Rush” Unisex Fragrance for Made Lifestyle Collection, which was facilitated by Chuck Holliday, the director of his web series. Randie Graves’ career in the entertainment industry has spanned through different spaces and niches. His work on The Sneaker Game as host has given him significant recognition as the fans and audience anticipate the show’s return. Despite the show not having the backing of a huge promotion, the second season holds even more prospects for success as there are plans to film upcoming episodes in Canada, Australia, and Europe. The show, which highlights sneaker culture in the United States, will be taking a trip overseas to highlight the sneaker culture in those places too.
Randie Graves has a five-year goal of becoming a bankable entertainment personality. He hopes to work with bigger brands while helping them reach a bigger audience and unlock new markets. In his words, “I see the brands growing to become a household name. With a lot of effort and hard work, the opportunities are endless. Great products always sell themselves, but consistency is the key.”
The major lesson Randie intends to pass on to other people is the importance of holding on to their dreams. “Keep your dreams alive even when they feel out of reach or unattainable. Believe in yourself, invest in yourself, and everything eventually falls in place,” he says.
