BooCiti Putting New York on the Map with Impactful and Change-Making Music

Every success story has a beginning, and everyone on the journey to the top pays their dues along the way as part of the journey. BooCiti, born Ossie Green, has without a doubt paid his dues and is now fully stepping into his essence as an artist capable of entertaining the world.

BooCiti had his earliest rap influences in artists like Fat Joe, Show Biz, BipC & Big L as a young boy growing up in the Bronx. To kick-start his rap career, he became a part of the City Box with Cam, Kara Citi, Bang, and Egotty. The Long Island-born rapper met iconic rapper French Montana through Kara Citi, and a new journey began for him in the music business. Once French Montana stepped into the limelight, he started making moves to get others to break into the scene, which led to the birth of The Coke Boys composed of BooCiti, Chinx Drugz, Cheez, Droop Pop, Broc, and a host of others. BooCiti went on tour with French Montana on the 2012 Drake Tour as the hype man while his pursuit of a career in music continued.

Shortly after, BooCiti floated his record label Coke Boys South and Coke Girls, signing artists from VA and beyond. He released his mixtape Tru Stories in July 2013 and continued to lead The Coke Boys under French Montana’s tutelage. With the responsibility of being a record label owner and leader, BooCiti mastered the art of marketing and branding and applied the knowledge to his artistry.

“I began to pay more attention to my music and included aspects that would ensure that my listeners would be motivated to listen to my music, but would also come back and share what they consume with other people within their community. I ensure that I write music that has an impact on the readers, allowing them to learn and also use the experiences of people within the society to promote change within their community,” BooCiti said.

BooCiti recognized the power vested in him as an artist early enough and worked steadfastly at wielding that power positively. Artists signed to Coke Boys South and Coke Girls were tasked with creating and releasing music consistently to achieve brand loyalty and keep the fans’ attention. BooCiti hopes to leverage the edge he has as one of the most impactful artists in the United States to put out positive music and challenge the next generation to aspire for greater and better things.

BooCiti’s goals for the next five years include boosting his record label’s presence and reach while he achieves more notable successes with his music. He hopes to win the African-American community to his side and deliver not just entertainment but also education to the impressionable young audience that enjoys his music style. He also plans to expand his social media reach to capture national and international audiences and spread his message globally.
