It doesn’t begin with a fairy tale. It starts with chaos—fighting, skipping school, getting caught, and the feeling of being unnoticed. But it evolves into a story of a voice finally being heard.

That voice belongs to Gia Evans.

Her new memoir, Me, Myself & Life, is a collection of deeply personal and unforgettable moments from her life. From her early years in a fractured home to wild nights with friends, from heartbreak and confusion to strength and clarity—each chapter is authentic, raw, and deeply human.

The story doesn’t attempt to be flawless. It simply tells the truth. And that’s what gives it its power.

Written from the Heart, Not the Classroom

Gia doesn’t hold back. She writes about being high in school bathrooms, carving her name into bridges with friends, skipping class, concealing pain, and struggling to stay afloat. She opens up about the experience of being caught between two parents, one of whom vanished from her life. She talks about love, betrayal, laughter, loneliness, and the long, challenging path to healing.

What’s particularly notable is that she began writing this book when she was just 14 years old. At that time, she didn’t have a plan to publish it. She simply needed to write—anything—to let her feelings out.

And she kept going. For four years. Until it was finished.

A Graduation She Never Expected

One of the most poignant scenes in the book takes place at the end. Gia recounts her senior campout the night before graduation. She’s surrounded by classmates on the football field, playing games in the dark, laughing, and talking under the stars. Then, at 3:30 in the morning, the sprinklers activate, soaking their tents. Everyone wakes up, half irritated, half amused.

As the sun rises, Gia watches it with her friends, realizing it’s her last day of high school. After all the detentions, suspensions, skipped classes, and chaos, she made it—she graduated.

And when she walks across that stage in her cap and gown, she feels proud.

Because this wasn’t just about school, it was about survival.

For the Kids Who Feel Unseen

Me, Myself & Life isn’t written with fancy language. It’s written in the same voice that Gia uses when speaking to her friends. And that’s what makes it unique. It feels like a conversation. A confession. A hug.

This book is for kids who sometimes feel like they’re not enough, for those trying their best, even when no one notices, and for students sitting at the back of the class, thinking they may not make it.

Gia wrote the book she wished she had when she was younger. And now it’s here—for everyone else who might need it, too.

About the Author

Gia Evans was born in Hudson, New Hampshire, and raised in Milford. She grew up in a divided home, moving between parents, skate parks, and school hallways. As a child, she loved writing short stories but rarely finished them.

In high school, she struggled in almost every class. She dropped out of writing class and nearly failed English every year. Her GPA from Milford High School in 2023 was just 1.5.

But none of that stopped her.

At 14, Gia began writing her memoir. By 18, she had completed it. And now, she’s sharing her life with readers through a book that is both a warning and a celebration. It’s a reminder that those who feel the most broken may sometimes have the most significant stories to tell.

You can find Gia Evans’ memoir, Me, Myself & Life, available for purchase on Barnes & Noble.
