She has been recognized with the Lifetime Achievement Award and Businesswoman of the Year Award from Shreveport-Bossier African American Chamber of Commerce, as well as being named one of Bossier’s Top Businesswomen by SB Magazine.
Dr. Pierré is also the first black woman to chair the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce and the Independence Bowl of Shreveport, and she was given the prestigious Virginia K. Shehee Most Influential Woman Award for breaking barriers as the first African American woman to head up both organizations.
