The company runs on passion as fuel, mainly through the hard work and tenacity of its founder, Bibby, who has risen up the ranks despite entering the business relatively late compared to other established photography studios and professionals.
“Photography isn’t something I initially thought I’d find a passion in as a child,” explains the owner of Powered Up. “I always was more into sports and anything that would display the gift I was given, which was athleticism. But once I picked up a camera for the first time just doing a project for someone I fell in love with, something clicked. A voice in my head told me, ‘This is it.’ From that day on, the grind just never stopped.” Today, Bibby has moved past many others in the field and become a highly in-demand photographer.
Much of Powered Up Productions’ success has to do with Bibby’s knack for networking. What she lacks in industry tenure, she’s more than made up for in terms of connections. She isn’t afraid to put herself out there and regularly networks with key collaborators, potential clients, and other people in the community. She remains persistent and persevering despite working long hours and surviving a pandemic that put most of her industry on halt for extended periods. Now Bibby looks to expand her horizon and dream about something bigger than business success. She wants to leave a lasting legacy in the industry. “This isn’t just some early retirement plan for me or quick money,” shares Bibby. “I’m leaving my mark, and people will remember Bibby. I’m going to make history.”
