In a music industry constantly searching for the next fresh perspective, one independent artist is carving out a lane that is entirely their own. Blending infectious pop melodies, electronic production, dance-floor energy, and unapologetic self-expression, the artist describes their sound simply as “Gay Pop,” music created for the LGBTQ+ community that celebrates confidence, individuality, and authenticity.
Rather than fitting into a single genre, their music exists in a world of its own. Electronic beats collide with pop hooks, rap influences, and experimental rhythms to create what they affectionately call an “intergalactic” sound. It’s vibrant, energetic, and designed to be more than just entertainment. Every song is intended to uplift listeners, helping them find confidence and joy during a time when many people are searching for positivity and connection.
“I want my music to build people up,” the artist explains. “Especially for my queer community. I want people to feel empowered, accepted, and free when they listen.”
That mission has already begun to take shape through four independently released singles available on all streaming platforms. Each track explores a different theme while showcasing a distinct musical identity, proving the artist isn’t interested in repeating formulas. Instead, every release tells its own story through colorful production, thoughtful songwriting, and fearless creativity.
Behind those releases is an impressive level of craftsmanship. The songs were written over the course of two years, reflecting a creative process rooted in patience and introspection. Inspiration often arrives in silence, where random thoughts quickly evolve into fully realized lyrics and melodies.
“I do my best writing when everything is quiet,” they say. “That’s when ideas come naturally.”
Much of that creative foundation was developed through Philadelphia’s Project HOME program at the Honickman Learning Center, where music production instructor Joe Venuti introduced students to Logic Pro and the fundamentals of producing, arranging, layering, mixing, and mastering music.
One moment from those classes would ultimately change everything. Venuti had planned to discard an instrumental track before the artist asked if they could keep it. That beat eventually became the foundation for “PUMA,” one of their standout singles.
Although the production classes lasted only a few hours each week, the experience taught lessons that extended far beyond software and studio techniques. It instilled discipline, patience, and an appreciation for every stage of the creative process. Through additional Open Lab sessions hosted by Venuti, the artist continued refining their craft, eventually producing songs like “Silly Fools,” “Lucky Contender,” and “Hypnotist.”
Today, they remain deeply involved in every aspect of production, taking pride in shaping each arrangement, vocal performance, and final mix to reflect their artistic vision.
Looking ahead, excitement continues to build around the artist’s biggest release yet. Their debut project, Main Attraction, will feature the four previously released singles alongside three brand-new tracks, offering listeners their most complete body of work to date. Scheduled for release during Pride Month 2026, with an official date to be announced soon, the project promises to be both a celebration of identity and a showcase of artistic growth.
Among the upcoming material, one unreleased song already stands out as a personal favorite.
Titled “NARUTO,” the track combines trap-inspired production with video game aesthetics, creating a high-energy anthem inspired by the iconic anime character. Beyond its explosive sound, the song carries a deeper message about resilience, acceptance, and overcoming adversity. Drawing parallels between Naruto’s journey of being misunderstood and their own experiences, the artist hopes the song will resonate not only with anime fans but with anyone who has ever felt like an outsider.
Beyond their own career, the artist also hopes to see meaningful changes within the music industry. They believe artists deserve greater creative freedom while advocating for increased opportunities for transgender and non-binary performers. Seeing trailblazers like Kim Petras break barriers and artists such as Grammy Award winner Durand Bernarr continue expanding representation reinforces their belief that progress is happening, even if there is still work to be done.
With an unmistakable artistic vision, hands-on production skills, and a mission centered around representation, advocacy, and fearless creativity, this rising independent artist is proving that authenticity may be the most powerful genre of all. As Main Attraction prepares to arrive during Pride Month, listeners can expect an exciting new voice determined to inspire confidence, celebrate individuality, and leave a lasting mark on modern pop music.
