Better known by his artistic moniker z3r0, Michael Bernard is a musician, a digital graphic artist and the founder of O000O000O000, a design company focused on creating abstract designs on clothes with an extremely high-resolution print that highlights every detail down to the smallest fiber.
A technological pioneer specializing in abstract stream design and extreme resolution rendering, z3r0 started his company O000O000O000 also pronounced z3r0, to produce optical illusion clothing designs for people who like to express themselves with abstract art-infused clothing or have an art appreciation. With the brand vision statement “Graphical Expectations Arisen,” the company designs realistic yet intriguing designs. Some of the designs include a realistic tunnel dress that appears to have a tunnel going through the person wearing it and the Quantum Pineapple pattern is available in six colors and comes in a dress.
Since establishing his graphic design company only a few years ago, z3r0 has created over 14k artworks, 99% of them created on his phone, either with a stylus or even with his thumb sometimes. “I am passionate about and have a thorough, pioneering knowledge of graphical resolution. I generate up to 10k resolution images which can be up to 150 MB in size (for a single image) & up to 4k HDR video with bitrates up to 240 Mbps,” he shared. He continued, “probably most shocking of all is that I have generated a single 3-minute audio file which has a bitrate of 300 Mbps – which comes out around 8.5 GB in file size for a single 3 minutes of audio (only, no video).”
In addition to his artistic expertise, z3r0 is also a musician. He began his music career at a young age while in second grade. As he grew older, he continued to hone his skills and made his mark as a talented artist across multiple genres such as classical, electronic, rock, metal, drum and bass. For Z3r0, his motivation for building his company comes from a strong desire to become independent of people who do not appreciate his hard work. “I have been an artist/musician all my life. I’ve worked very hard to become as good as I possibly can be in those related skill sets, all in the hope that one day an opportunity may arise which allows me to utilize them professionally,” he says. z3r0 has big plans for the coming years. In an interview, he says, “I believe that five years from now will be much different than I could guess right now, because life changes so much when you follow your dreams, and even when they come true, they often don’t do so in the way we imagined they would.” But, he continued, “I am hopeful that five years from now, I will have made an impact with my music, my art, my clothing, or another form of artistic expression.”
