Entrepreneurs are essential for economic growth and prosperity because they build new businesses by utilizing innovative technologies, services, and products to fulfill people’s needs. Many individuals aspire to be successful entrepreneurs and desire to launch innovative businesses. Most people, however, cannot materialize their dream or transform their ideas into workable solutions because they lack relevant experience or expertise.
Successfully starting and running a startup involves critical skills and experience to manage resources and people to develop products and services and maximize profits proficiently. Unfortunately, a lack of guidance and mentorship has been a common issue that often hinders many budding entrepreneurs. They need to be made aware of the financial, legal, and social implications of starting a business, and too often, these blindspots can be fatal for the company. Seasoned and established entrepreneurs can play a significant role in helping newcomers to entrepreneurship by offering real-life guidance and practical advice such as general and tactical strategies, ways to source funding, and navigating legal complexities. Established entrepreneurs can also guide avoiding and resolving the challenges of establishing and managing a new business despite fierce competition and lack of resources.

Farshad Yousefi is an Iranian-American entrepreneur who has co-founded numerous companies throughout his entrepreneurial career and has received recognition for his endeavors and success. He received funding and support from some of the most prominent investors in Silicon Valley due to his accomplishments in managing and operating successful startups. Yousefi faced numerous challenges and hardships throughout his upbringing before making a name as a successful entrepreneur. He immigrated from Iran with his family at eleven, immediately facing problems with transitioning to the new culture and environment. Yousefi encountered constant bullying from his peers because he couldn’t speak English and belonged to a low-income family. At school, he would often sit alone at the back of the class and endure verbal assaults from his classmates. In his second year of elementary school, Yousefi realized that he had to escape his shell and make friends despite other people’s negativity. He found reprieve through sports and used athletics to adjust to his new environment. Farshad Yousefi also developed a passion for building innovative things and finding solutions to problems early on. During college, Yousefi started contemplating turning his ideas into business and quickly learned the basics of finance, operations, fundraising, and other technical aspects of running a business. Facing those challenges growing up and launching the series of business ideas throughout college instilled an attitude of grit, never to give up and a deeply rooted conviction and dedication to serving the less fortunate.

After graduating with a degree in finance from the University of San Diego, Farshad Yousefi experimented with several ideas to fulfill his passion for creating something from nothing while impacting millions worldwide. He learned from his failures and setbacks before developing a successful firm with his best friend, Masoud Jalali, Ph.D. He successfully created and co-founded two prominent companies: Visionful (later acquired by Cloudastructure.com) and Fintor. Yousefi currently serves as the CEO of Fintor, which democratizes real estate investment by enabling users to invest in real estate starting with $5, creating access for all.
He is actively mentoring several new entrepreneurs coaching them on becoming successful startup founders. Growing up in a low-income household and struggling during childhood, Farshad Yousefi developed deep compassion to help the less fortunate. He started Fintor to help people invest in real estate regardless of the investment amount. As a result, Fintor will help millions invest in real estate regardless of their financial background or condition while representing Yousefi’s longstanding objective of building a company that helps millions worldwide.
