Trailblazing Entrepreneur Kimberly Cloud Sets the Blueprint for Success with Three Successful Companies

Hailing from Charlotte, NC, Kimberly Cloud is a 37-year-old entrepreneur who wants to do the right things, take care of business and be there for people the right way. Growing up, Kimberly originally wanted to be a doctor but changed the game to do what fits her training category and artistic prowess. As she got older, she knew that life as a medic was not for her as she got bored too quickly and needed a challenge. So for a challenge, she served in the military for a few years, where she spent some of her happiest moments.

However, life in the military started taking its toll on her; she experienced burnout due to her pregnancy. So she decided to leave the forces and pursue life as a civilian. She got out of the military, changed careers and got a couple of jobs at Convergys and Alorica affiliated with AT&T. This time of her life was a true game-changer as the change in career gave her ample time to go to college. In March 2012, she attended the Maryland Center for Veterans Education and Training (MCVETS). She then went to college at the Baltimore City Community College and the Coppin State University. She continued her higher education at the University of Pheonix, obtaining her master’s degree in business management.

After college, Kimberly realized she wanted autonomy in her life, wanted to control her hours and decided against joining the teeming workforce. Instead, she decided to put her artistic prowess to task, and so she launched her companies –  Blue Cloud Cleaning and Genuinely Michelle wigs LLC in 2020 and  Wigs for Success in 2021. Since starting her company, Kimberly is committed to giving her customers the best experience through her excellent artistry in making stunning and show-stopping wigs. In addition, her artistry in creating vibrant wigs has led to a significant increase in sales.

Kimberly draws her motivation and drives for success from the industrious people around her and her unwavering determination to break the chain of poverty and become a source of inspiration for young entrepreneurs who want to start. “I grind 25/8 all day every day. I am handling my business, and I am taking care of everything that happens intimately. I stay, making sure my customers are always right. I will be getting a layaway plan together so that I can gain more of an audience,” she said.

In addition to making great wigs, Kimberly gives back to the community. “ I am going to make sure that everything that I do leaves a positive mark on the younger generation’s view as young entrepreneurs who have issues with generating revenue but have all of the other aspects in line,” she shares.

In the coming years, Kimberly Cloud wants to expand her companies, growing them into multi-millionaire companies. But, she also wants to keep giving back to the community, especially to young entrepreneurs, encouraging them to follow their hearts.
