As its name suggests, VOLÉR DESIGN advances the transformative message of soaring beyond limitations. The French word VOLÉR, which is translated as “to fly” in English, directs the luxury streetwear brand’s mission. VOLÉR directly addresses the lack of opportunities in the fashion industry. The company provides a platform and community for upcoming creatives in fashion design, photography, film, graphic design, creative direction, and modeling.
VOLÉR DESIGN is set on introducing game-changing services in the fashion industry to push its message forward. Customers enjoy the luxury of picking out VOLÉR ’s one-of-a-kind pieces. In addition to each clothing item’s rarity, VOLÉR ’s designs also boast superior fit, feel, and support for the wearer. What makes the brand even more noteworthy is its mood-based collections and content. By doing away with the traditional season-based collections, the company has become timeless—an elusive quality in fashion.
The streetwear brand further ups the ante on luxury services by offering an exclusive membership to its customers. Members enjoy the privilege of getting first dibs on limited drops, special codes, and runway showcases. Together, the limited pieces and the exclusive membership elevate VOLÉR ’s customer service from luxury shopping to a lifestyle experience. VOLÉR DESIGN also collaborates with local and mainstream artists. These include DaBaby, Lil Uzi Vert, Producer Drumma Boy Fresh, Ayo Caine and many more. Currently, the brand is working on projects with Kaash Paige and NLE Choppa.
VOLÉR DESIGN co-founders Jade Young and Diamond Spruill built the company from the ground up out of their desire to stand for a grander cause. Growing up together, Jade and Diamond played on the same basketball team. They spent time after practice engaged in their shared passion: fashion and photography. Recognizing the potential to use their talents to create a positive impact, Jade and Diamond started shooting campaigns for VOLÉR collections. Since then, they have built the foundation to grow the brand into a household name. Instead of following trends, VOLÉR DESIGN sets them. The brand has recently filed for trademark and came across an issue with VANS “OFF THE WALL” last year August 2020. Allegedly, The Billion Dollar brand VANS objected to the VOLÉR DESIGN “V” mark, claiming that their brand looked too similar. “Our marks are different and most importantly.. Our stories are different. You can’t compare this “V” when it is deeper than fashion. Stories like this happen all the time where bigwigs take from the smaller brands’ culture. It just so happens to be that we stand for what we believe” said Jade, and the brand will continue to move forward with the VOLÉR DESIGN movement.
Jade Young, who started VOLÉR in 2014 before she partnered with Diamond in 2019, traces her passion for fashion to an even earlier stage in her life. She has fond memories of her mother keeping them up to date on the latest designers growing up. As the years went by, Jade witnessed the drastic changes in shopping culture. She found it increasingly difficult to identify with existing brands’ clothing; nothing fit her style anymore. Jade realized during her senior year in high school that she would have to design things herself if she wanted to see her style reflected on clothes. This idea marked the start of VOLÉR DESIGN.
The company is currently operating fully digital. As VOLÉR continues to grow and give opportunities to rising talents, stores in New York, Los Angeles, Dubai, Milan, Tokyo, and other urban area communities are sure to pop up in the near future. Throughout all this success, VOLÉR DESIGN has remained true to its vision. The luxury streetwear brand inspires people to fly out of their limits and pursue fulfilling careers as creatives.
