You took the plunge to start your fitness journey. All things are set. You have bought that gym attire and chosen the gym. As the day of the first workout comes near, you might feel butterflies in your stomach. 

Everybody has it because the first time doing something is a nervous thing. But in the fitness community, everyone is very welcoming, so that you might have the best time within a few days. 

Even though we have been through the situation. But there were a few things we experienced that might be helpful for you to understand to make your early days of gym journey not just fun but also full of positive experiences.

As you reach the gym, the first thing you will get is a cheering smile from your trainer. They will help you give a short tour of the gym. The cardio equipment includes stair climbing equipment, a treadmill, a climbing bike, and many more in one section. 

Then there is weight lifting equipment, such as a dumbbell or barbell, or large ones like functional equipment, leg presses, and elliptical machines. Some gyms also have dedicated areas for intense workouts like boxing sessions, Zumba classes, and Pilates. For relaxation after a heavy workout, you might find amenities such as saunas. Be sure to ask your trainer about these additional facilities and how to make the most of them.

After this short tour and learning about gym rules and etiquette, the trainer will motivate you and then help you start your workout. 

Overwhelming Gym Machine Option 

The first day of fitness can be overwhelming. It may be hard to choose how to start your workout, as the gym has plenty of machines meant for different purposes.

But just take a deep breath, then have a chat with your trainer and tell your fitness goals. Then, your trainer will guide you through a simple workout routine. For instance, let’s say your goal is to shed some fat, and then the trainer will suggest a mix of cardio, total body strength training, and high-intensity workout (HIT). 

Stick to it and try to maintain consistency for the initial workout; After that, you can explore other gym machines or exercise formats to add some spice to your workout. 

Different fitness level 

Let us assume that you have set to lose around 10 kg in a month. But you start working out, and all you feel Is tired, and you have not seen any changes in your body. 

It is an example to clarify that people’s fitness levels are different. These can depend on several factors like health, age and many more. Seeing other people lift more weight can be quite amazing. But it might not be for you in the starting phase. 

Remember, your body has a certain level of energy, and you can use it accordingly. The first is to stay in the basic exercise format, like squats and lunges. When it comes to fitness and health, everyone is different, so listen to your body.

The meaning of working out doesn’t mean spending hours in the gym every single day. It is about maintaining the effective form during a workout and then letting your smiles recover accordingly 

In the initial days, you will have intense muscle pain, and soreness can also appear. But these are the signs of hardship: your body is changing.

Every place has a certain set of behaviors, and people expect you to maintain that. When you are in the gym, there are a bunch of such things you should remember. 

Like wiping the equipment after your workout set, respecting the personal space of fellow members and trying to have a cheerful environment for everyone
