YoungKing YoungScoop & Elev8ted Juice Push a Different Sound from Detroit

Meet YoungKing YoungScoop and music exec/manager Elev8ted Juice, the two brothers behind ELEV8TED Music Group. If you haven’t heard of ELEV8TED Music Group or their lead artist YoungKing YoungScoop, you’re probably behind the 8 ball on the Detroit music scene, but no worries—we’ll catch you up. Scoop and Juice began their journey in mid-2018 when they launched the ELEV8TED Music Group imprint and have since scaled the brand into fashion, consulting, and event hosting and have become front-runners in the blossoming Detroit music scene.

Artist YoungKing YoungScoop and his manager/older brother Elev8ted Juice break the typical mold we’ve seen in Detroit music. Scoop’s melodic sound mixed with bright vocals and light subject matter stand out from the typical gloomy Detroit sound. Throughout the years, many have compared Scoop to artists like Big Sean, Chance the Rapper, and even Kanye West. Juice is Scoop’s manager and older Brother and true networking guru. Some people have even gone as far as to call Juice the “Detroit Diddy.”

In 2020, Scoop made headlines by becoming the first-ever Budweiser Music Champion, defeating thousands of talented artists and being hand-selected by Budweiser as Detroit’s next music star. As a result, Scoop would take home $15,000. Becoming the Budweiser Music Champion would lead to many opportunities for Scoop such as promotional work with the Detroit Pistons and meeting with Detroit Megastar Big Sean.

In 2021 Scoop’s national popularity continued to soar. Scoop released a track with Platinum recording artist 24hrs titled “Yellow.” “Yellow” was an instant hit and became a huge fan favorite virtually overnight. “Yellow” proved to be the perfect follow-up for Scoop’s 2020 smash hit  “Rake it Up,” which is currently still in rotation across the country on major radio stations and was included on the Detroit Lions pregame playlist.

Under ELEV8TED Music Group Scoop has delivered two projects, ELEV8TED and Antidote, which were co-curated with his brother/manager ELEV8TED Juice.

We had a chance to speak with both Scoop and Juice this week and ask them a couple of questions. The thing we wanted to know most was how the two felt about the Detroit music scene and where they see themselves a year from now.

Scoop, although very outgoing and light-spirited, only had this to say: “I love what’s happening in Detroit. I don’t know where I’ll be in a year but I know I’m going to work as hard as I can to make sure I’m where I want to be, and that’s the Billboard top 100 and I won’t lose focus or sight of my goals.”

Juice had this to say: “Detroit is a unique place with a lot of talent. I could see Detroit being as big as Atlanta in the next 5 years. A year from now, I see us on top, plain and simple.”

We’re looking forward to seeing what the future holds for the ELEV8TED boys as they continue to take the music world by storm. We have no doubts that we’ll be seeing these guys on top of the world VERY SOON! Follow the pair on Instagram @KingScoop18 and @Elev8ted_Juice.
