Moving from her birthplace in Cairo, Egypt, all the way to the United States was only the first step towards a long life of dreams and aspirations that Karen Bassily had lined up for her. Getting to the US at the age of eleven years old without understanding the English Language seemed like the biggest hurdle, but a decade and fluency in four languages later, Karen Bassily has realized that the work never stops, and she is fully ready to take it on as it comes.
Karen began modeling when she was 15, and for the past six years, her love for modeling has manifested into an all-around love for entertainment. She’s highly skilled in gymnastics, skating, belly-dancing, horseback riding, and singing. With modeling being her top choice, Karen Bassily is willing to explore all her skill sets and create valuable assets out of them. Her love for modeling propagated from watching “America’s Next Top Model,” which was her favorite show as a teenager. She watched many episodes that she knew virtually everything about the modeling world without doing as much as a single audition ever.
Currently, she’s on the lookout for modeling agencies, fashion designers, actors, and acting agencies that might need her services and talents. Karen Bassily has made her journey a solo journey without comparing herself to anyone or creating competition for herself. “I believe my career is all about me and the things I can achieve. I’m humble enough not to see myself as better than anyone, nor do I think anyone is better than me. My confidence level is high all the time, and I look forward to the amazing connections I’ll make in the modeling world,” Karen says.
With confidence being her strongest suit, Karen Bassily is fully focused on launching her modeling and entertainer career and getting herself to the spot she has always desired from her days of watching America’s Next Top Model and reading fashion magazines. The glamor she has witnessed, and the beauty of successful models are her biggest motivations. She sees herself enjoying a long-term modeling career strutting down fashion show runways and graving television screens in different shows and fashion programs in a few years.
It seems as though it’s the beginning for Karen Bassily but beyond the start of a career is the birth of a confident woman who wants to inspire thousands and even millions. She passionately hopes to bring some glory to modeling and make it a highly sought-after career and an avenue for beautiful young women to showcase their beauty and confidence. “Nobody should see themselves as lesser than they are. Confidence is a crown, and everybody should wear it proudly at all times,” she says.
