Saint Jaimz Makes a Groundbreaking Comeback as He Reignites People’s Love for R&B

The increasing dominance of music genres like pop, country, and hip-hop have eventually towered over the waning popularity of rhythm and blues. However, now that more and more artists are embracing the digital era and capitalizing on streaming and online distribution platforms, some of them are up for the challenge of helping R&B get its groove back and bringing it to its former glory. Such is the case with R&B hitmaker Saint Jaimz, a musical phenomenon who has made a comeback with his single, “Being Gentle,” a remake of the timeless 90s smash hit “Gentle (Calling Your Name)” by Frederick.

In 2020, “Being Gentle” skyrocketed from being number thirty to being number one on the Indie Soul Charts.  The single has also enabled him to win the highly-coveted “New Comer of the Year Award.” This masterpiece continues to be the artist’s top hit on Spotify, with over one million streams.

On a mission to preserve the richness and real essence of the 90s R&B era, Saint Jaimz brought out his musical flair and creative prowess to show the world what the rhythm and blues genre is all about. Since not everyone was around to witness how R&B emerged way back in the 90s, this up-and-coming artist took it upon himself to introduce people to this amazing genre while bringing back memories and sparking feel-good vibes.

Saint Jaimz got his first big break in Germany during a talent show in the army. In an interview, he then talked about the driving force behind his flourishing music career.

“I just want to reignite people’s passion, desire, and love for R&B music not only as a genre but also as a movement. R&B used to be everything. Now, it’s like pulling teeth to get people to respect this genre again,” the artist shared. “With my trailblazing legacy, I wish to prove that music can still change lives,” he added.

On top of that, he also wishes that his success will represent all the other independent artists in the industry.

After decades of trying to make a name for himself as an independent artist, Saint Jaimz finally turned his dreams into reality. With all his diligent efforts and unwavering commitment paying off, he has established a reputable standing not only as a singer and songwriter but also as a producer and CEO. This multifaceted personality has recently released the nostalgic masterpiece Throwback The Covers, Vol. 1 EP. According to the artist, his favorite track of the said album is “Baby Come to Me” which is currently #2 on the Indie Soul Charts with over 1.2 million streams for the entire album on Spotify alone.  In addition, Saint Jaimz’s single “Suck it Up” is currently charting at #52 on the 150 Global Indie Charts with over 95K streams on Spotify to date and continues to be a fan favorite single.

Widely acknowledged for his distinctive artistry, Saint Jaimz possesses a timeless voice that is bound to blast his listeners back to the iconic sounds of the 90s R&B era. With his highly creative approach to music, this Chicago-born musician adds an innovative spin on the popular stylings of the genre. For this reason, he is currently on the receiving end of praises and accolades from fans, critics, and moguls in the industry. Such praises include his various nominations for the 2021 Star Soul Fame Awards which include Best Male Vocalist, Number #1 Chart Topping Artist, Songwriter of the Year and multiple nominations for “Baby Come To Me” for Music Video of the Year, R&B Song of the Year, Adult Contemporary, and Most Viewed Music Video.
